Credit Season is a South African loan-comparison publisher operating from Johannesburg, Gauteng. We are not a lender and do not make lending decisions. This notice applies to information collected through creditseason.com, not to information you give directly to a lender or matching service.
Information we use
You can browse the comparison without creating an account or submitting a loan application to Credit Season. Loan filters and repayment-calculator figures are processed in your browser and are not intentionally stored by Credit Season.
Our hosting and security services may process technical information such as IP address, device and browser details, request time, and security events in order to deliver and protect the website. If you follow a provider link, the provider and its privacy notice apply to any details you submit there.
Referral links and affiliate measurement
When affiliate tracking is active, a referral link may pass a non-identifying referral or campaign identifier to Leadgid and the provider. We do not place ID numbers, bank details, email addresses, phone numbers or repayment-calculator figures into those identifiers.
We use referral information to understand whether our comparison pages lead to qualifying commercial outcomes. This does not affect a lender’s credit decision or the loan terms offered to you.
Why we process information
We use technical information for website delivery, security, troubleshooting and fraud prevention. Where consent is required for optional tracking or direct marketing, we will ask before using it. We do not currently run a newsletter, advertising pixels, push notifications or a Credit Season loan-application form.
Sharing and international transfers
We share information only with service providers needed to host and secure this website, and with the provider or affiliate network when you choose an active referral link. Those services may process information outside South Africa. We will use appropriate contractual, technical or other safeguards where required by applicable law.
Retention, rights and complaints
We keep technical and security information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, subject to legal, security and service-provider requirements. You may ask for access, correction, deletion, objection or other rights available under applicable law. South African users may also complain to the Information Regulator. GDPR rights apply where the GDPR applies to the processing.
